Ok, well this was supposed to be a list of 50 things to do before I die but then I got stuck so for the moment it’s a list of 40 things to do before I die. This list is in no particular order apart from the order in which they occurred to me.
1. See the pyramids of Giza.
2. Visit every continent (4 down, 3 to go).
3. Sail across an Ocean.
4. Visit the Great Barrier Reef.
5. Volunteer teach in a developing country.
6. Cycle across a country.
7. Master something. I’m not sure what exactly yet but I’m going to put in my 10,000 hours. I kind of have yoga in mind.
8. Write a book.
9. Spend a night in a treehouse in Africa.
10. Master another language.
11. See wild gorillas
12. Live on the beach.
13. Have my own bookstore.
14. Visit the Acropolis.
15. Live in Europe.
16. Walk on the Great Wall of China.
17. Ride the Trans-Siberian.
18. See the terra-cotta statues.
19. Visit Machu Pichu.
20. Visit Angkor Wat.
21. See the Grand Canyon.
22. Take the train across Canada.
23. Stand at the base of Mt. Everest. I have no aspirations of climbing it because I’m fairly sure I would be one of the people who dies trying, so I would be happy with base camp.
24. Be a mom.
25. Drive a motorcycle across a country.
26. Wwoof.
27. Restore an old house.
28. Visit the rainforest.
29. See the sun rise over the Taj Mahal.
30. Swim at the top of Victoria Falls.
31. Fly in a hot-air balloon.
32. See Stonehenge.
33. Explore Easter Island.
34. Explore the Galapagos Islands.
35. Learn to play an instrument – maybe this could be combined with #7.
36. Go on a safari.
37. Ride a camel in a caravan on the Sahara.
38. Build a house with Habitat for Humanity.
39. Fly a plane.
40. Go to the Nile.
